USF has fewer resources now than its had in years. look at the AAC contract.

no one expects, even in the wildest dreams, a BCS championship. we could go 12-0 and possibly not even get a BCS bowl invite. no way any USF squad in the AAC gets a BCS championship bid without multiple undefeated seasons. long way from that. cart before the horse.

this team was a 4-win max team going into the year. winning 4 out of 9 is not impossible. winning 3 out of 9 is not impossible, and as horrible as that will be at least it wouldn't be worse than last year.

No one expected this team to compete going in to the season, but everyone here expected to beat Mcneese and FAU.

There's no way you can tell me FAU and MCneese state have better talent than USF.

Taggart has not shown anything that makes me think he can be a good coach.

I just want to see some adjustments, and I can't remember any in this OR the MSU game. I hope you guys are right that it's just a matter of getting familiar with the playbook enough to open up some options, but man I really had hoped it would show promise by now. Not talent-wise, play-call wise.

on the whole? no, they probably dont have better talent.

did they have a better OLine and QB? yes.

they also have continuity, at least in the case of FAU. they are not coming from a point of extreme volatility.

would anyone honestly have been surprised if FAU or even McNeese was the last game on our schedule last season and we ended up losing with Holtz?

i certainly wouldnt have been surprised. so im not entirely surprised that Taggart lost. still stings tho, but shitcanning Taggart after 3 games, or even 1 season, will only prolong the rebuilding process. USF fans are not and never have been patient. we have been spoiled by historic growth of the program. what comes easy goes easy... now we as a fan base have to pay for that rapid ascent with a slow rebuild. it's called football.

I remember a quote from a summer GA interview...the d-line was interviewed and said Dominique Threatt was the strongest nastiest o-lineman on the team...that comment speaks for itself as to the state of our offensive line...the offense lives and dies with the offensive line...how can an upper classman D1 offensive lineman be outmatched physically by a freshman???

How much playing time is Threatt getting?
