He will not be coming to USF, his parents advise him to go to another school.

link?

Read the article posted by Greg Auman on Twitter.  You will see what I mean.

I read that article a couple of days ago.  And I came away with the opposite impression.  His parents will support him no matter what he decides to do, even if he decides to give up football.  Sounds like great parents.  Interesting that Bench made a comment a few months ago about how nice it would be if Penn State were located somewhere with warm weather, like Florida.

Must not be the same article I just linked ... Only thing it mentions about parents is that he's the son of a long time coach.

i'm thinking it was this article, but I didn't see where it said we were out of it:

could be the wrong article too

Did Greg link to that article at some point? Even if he did, still don't see anything to back up Riz's assessment .... did see that he's more suited for a spread option offense. That's not what CWT's going to run, is it?

I tweeted a link to the Pennlive story. Hope that clears it up a little ...

He's not particulary athletic nor does he have an especially strong arm but he can do a lot of things pretty well.  I'll leave it up to Taggart, he's nothing to get overly enthusiastic if he joins us but he can be the difference since our defense should be pretty good.

Other than coming from Penn State, what is all the excitement about.  I have never heard about him before.  Yes another body for depth, but is he any good?

The excitement is we have no QBs. At the very least he would be another body to throw in the mix. At best our new starter.

He's not great.  But he looks smart and reliable, albeit on limited information.  If he can run the offense reliably, I think he'd have a good opportunity jump our current QBs.

Bench is going to be a Bull because he wants to play. Still can't believe Trickett is going to WVU, he's a better QB...moving on to plan B I guess.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
