Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

The Bulls Pen Ad-free Raffle in support of USF Football

Thank you,

Brad Brad

Pay article that says a potential QB transfer is likely to visit us this weekend. One of the comments (not blocked by the pay wall) indicates that it is Bench.

He would have to sit out a year. What's the point?

Depth. Of which we have none.

I'm pretty sure he's eligible this year.

Bench, who completed 2-of-7 passes last year as a true freshman, will stay at Penn State through the rest of the spring semester. Since Bench was a member of Penn State’s 2012 recruiting class, he will be able to transfer to any school he wants without having to sit out a year thanks to the NCAA’s modified transfer rules in light of the sanctions against the program.

Yup, he can leave PSU without penalty anytime throughout his college career there.

If he has to sit out a year, how does that help with depth for 2013?

Edit:  some say he can play right away ... my question then would be moot.

BRING HIM HERE

some comments from reddit

I always got the impression from him that he was just perpetually annoyed about not being the clear #1 guy at Penn St. The idea of Hackenberg being a 4 yr starter intrigues me, we'll see what happens

Not a bad strategy. Practice under a guy who coached Tom Brady and transfer after getting as much wisdom as you can while still being able to start immediately wherever you go.

I personally thought Ferguson looked better in the Blue White game, and he knows Hackenberg is the future of the program.

I mispoke, he has until the start of the 2013 season to transfer and play immediately...After that he would have to sit out a year.
