not selling the naming rights is incredbily dumb

not even exploring it is an even bigger failure.

That's what I'm thinking... even if it's a terrible idea, why not bring it up at least? Let the presidents talk about it.

Again, Aresco doesn't make decisions.  "Not even thinking about it" means the presidents don't want to go there.

What did they mean, sell the naming rights? Something along the lines of what they have in England - the Barclays Premier League? I've not heard that suggestion before, but if it was something that could even come at all close to closing the gap in TV money, that is brilliant. Would all depend on how much a company would be willing to pay - obviously just like TV deals, it's something that would come down to a question of the league's prestige. After such a disappointing TV deal and decimation of a once semi-proud conference, it could be an opportunity to be innovative and ahead of the curve for once and gain a leg up on the league's new competition in the lower tiers of college football. I'm surprised it hasn't been done already by one of the bigger leagues, frankly.

The Midol Conference? Maybe the Captain Morgan Conference. We already have a ship.

Thanks Brad.

No good news here, though.

Agreed. What's the downside? It's not like this conference has any history to trample on. Not to mention, we're in this mess because of money, so milk it for all its worth.

What other conference sold naming rights? Sounds like a ridiculous fan notion. Its a conference, not a stadium.

Barclays Premier League. About $60 million a year for the rights.
