My top two were Davis then Taggart. I am satisfied with his hiring.

I'm sorry but I have a very bad feeling about this hire guys... I hope I am wrong but I think I will be posting a big ole I told you so in 2 years.

So basically your saying because he is did not lead a "big name" program it is a bad hire. This guy has more local support then just about any coach in the nation. He played ball less then an hour away from here. If he is half the coach of his mentors he will dominate the Big East end of story. He called the plays for Western Kentucky's national championship win. Tthe last big east coach to call plays for his teams National Title win has Notre Dame in the BCS title game...we made the right hire.

Congratulations on your new coach. I am a Western Kentucky Alum and avid sports fan. Hate to see Taggart leave WKU but can assure you he will be a fantastic coach. He plays a very physical smash mouth defense and always has a running game that ranks near the top of FBS. Tight ends will also prosper in his system. It may take him a year to get things rolling but good times are ahead. Enjoy!

Thanks Topcat classy of you to come here and post that. Best of luck to your team

Greg Auman @gregauman

Toby Gerhart on Taggart and Harbaugh: "They have similar philosophies when it comes to being relentless, being tough, running the ball."

Thank you, I agree. Hey, if you're looking for a replacement for Willie, there's a guy by the name of Skip available. :guinness:

That's a very gracious offer but it may be a bit too cool for him this time of year in Kentucky.

Looking forward to posting a big "I told you so" in another year when we see Taggart taking charge. Love the hire!

Love the hire (my first choice personally) and love how quickly DW put it in writing. Let's get to work!
