Lord I hope this is not the case... both Davis and Petrino are on the market still.

It is true Bubba. Time to support our new coach - all of us. He deserves that.

I'm not going to speak ill of him... but I will chew into Doug and Judy for a few days for hiring a Sun Belt coach without even interviewing Bobby Petrino or Butch Davis who are getting interviews from Arkansas State?!

I'm not a fan of this hire either... I'm am hoping to eat crow, I will support him, but I'm not happy. Butch would have been a great hire.

I hope I'm wrong

And I think you should. Davis would have been big and I completely agree they should have interviewed him (assuming they didn't)

Western Kentucky's Willie Taggart has accepted an offer to become coach at South Florida, sources told ESPN.

Taggart replaces Skip Holtz, who was fired after three years.

Tampa radio station WDAE first reported the hiring of Taggart.

More qualified does not mean best hire. The made the right hire IMHO

They were thinking Willie will bring a passion that has been missing for ages, will be great at recruiting, and can be here for the long term.

IMO, great hire. The possible longevity of this coaching stint with taggart might have separated him from the pack... FL native coming back home to coach.
