I think this might be a case where Taggart wants to see his team through their bowl game and USF not wanting to wait that long or simply hedging their bets with other options in case Taggart does decide to stay after the bowl game.

I think this may be the speculative posting that I'm willing to bet is the most accurate assessment of what's going on. Recruiting is at stake here, and Willie T may just be staunch about sticking around and sending his kids off the right way. That's a rarity in college football nowadays.

For every report that an interview has happened one can be found that it hasn't. Seems like it's just been preliminary contact and people are running with it as an "interview". The administration is doing a great job of keeping this process hush hush
