  • TBP Ticker

Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

Thank you,

Come on USF. GET IT DONE. Get us in ACC or big 12 whatever it take. Do anything. Say anything. And promise anything to get in.

So the ACC now has 13 members. If they decide to go to 16 they could take UConn, UL, and UC. That would leave USF as the only BCS school to get left out of realignment. Would we have a legitimate lawsuit, especially after the comment made by BC's AD? Our damages could be $10+ Million a year not counting the effect on potential lost ticket sales and donations from being left in a lesser conference.

I don't think we will be left out in the long run. Big 12 and SEC will likely make more moves in the next 5-10 years. I think USF and UCF both, just based on the size of the universities and Florida market will get into a power 5 conference.

I think USF and UCF should be a pretty attractive pair for the Big 12 if they can't get FSU.

We have no chance, it's UConn and not even close...unless they go 16. Even then it will be a fight

They said the same thing about USF getting in Big East and USF got in. It can be done.

Amen to that. At least this would be something to look forward to if they are going to let the coach keep ruining the FB team.

We NEED to get in. Get in, fire Skip, hire a good coordinator who won't leave since we'd be in a power conference....I hate setting myself up for failure.

You are on to something Dan! Then we would have enough money to pay off that loser Skippy, hire Mayflower to move him out, and hire a real coach who actually cares.

Package both us and UCF as one member. Big12 payout is 20million plus 3rd tier. That would equate to $10 million a year for both of us plus the 3rd tier $$$.... Combine both again in a TV network and split the revs for the 3rd tier.

Access is everything IMO!

The Big 12 won't be looking to any school in FL but, FSU. If FSU leaves with Clemson to the Big 12, I think the Big 12 stays at 12. They have zero need for 14 and would only move to 12, if they could add national brands like FSU and Clemson. The ACC would then be down to 11 and Notre Dame's deal. At that point they can add one more to stay at 12, but it's likely ESPN will make sure they go back to 14 and completely gut the Big East for good. It would be wise for USF and UCF to team up at that point. The loss of FSU is the loss of a brand that covers TVs in an entire state. Adding just USF or just a UCF would do little...both would be much more valuable, along with gaining back the state of Florida. Then it'd be between UConn and UL.
