I still have not been able to find a source to confirm this. Not a single one, sounds like someone had some off-season blues and fired off a tweet citing “sources”.

It’s old news. Pete Thamel broke this news back in January. Aresco made comment about the conference potentially going to 14 teams for football around the same time. I can’t find anything new on the subject, but it’s a thing

Seems I heard the content of that entire tweet somewhere else.  So grateful the Tuxedo Baby Yoda could confirm it for me.

:roflmao:

Still, it leaves me with the feeling of :puke:  and it damages the odds NEB will ever get an AAC trinket.

Just a heads up. That's Tuxedo Baby Yoda and after a quick look at the Twitter page it would appear the Loser Kanigit Twitter Mafia is at it again .....

If the MWC is refusing BSU preferential payment from its new TV deal, then there is no way that BSU is going to stick around in that conference. That is the only thing that kept them from jumping ot the AAC the last go-around. A 14 team AAC would look like this:

West: San Diego St., Boise St., UNLV (or another MWC team), Tulsa, SMU, Houston, and Tulane
East: USF, UCF, ECU, Cincy, Memphis, Navy, and Temple

The East is stacked with USF and Temple vying for the bottom spot.

West is looking semi-competitive. I could see Boise, Houston, and the occasional SMU/SDSU jumping in.
