If UCF doesn't qualify for a bowl this year and goes 5-7, does that season still qualify as a bowl ban season even if they wouldn't qualify anyways? Does the bowl ban follow them next year until they qualify for one and win at least 6 games? The penalties don't sound to bad, since this is like a throw away year for them anyways since they're not in the BE yet. A 2 year bowl ban would've really sucked for them. I don't see this really affecting them at all when it comes to recruiting, etc.. In all seriousness, yes, if UCF goes 5-7 the bowl ban will still count.
