I just found out, 30 minutes before game time, that there is supposedly free beer and food at today's womens bball game for all students.  Now this is a great idea and would bring out tons of students especially on a saturday afternoon  and a terrible day out, but it would help if people actually knew about it!  I would have probably gone to the game, but considering 1) I just ate 2) No way I would make it before game time 3) Free beer prob ends at game time, no way I am making it there now.....  

if you are going to run promotions to bring people out to the games, let people know the promotions are going on at least.....

Did they buy enough for "all students"? I'll bet the marketing they did corresponded well with the amount of supplies on hand.

I'm beginning to sound like an apologist/defender for USF, but let's get serious...

1)  This is a supposed happening per USFBull83.

2)  Do we know who put this on?  Was it the Student Bulls Club?  Was the marketing in their budget?  Was this their project to run?

3)  Would we really expect or want our valuable and limited advertising dollars going to "market" free bribery beer?  I would imagine that whoever put this together, expected word of mouth to be sufficient and rightly so.  It doesn't reach everyone (especially here in Arizona) but it reaches enough to get there and finish off the beer on hand.

I hate to be so critical of us, the fans - but we are really pushing the limits here...

the only reason I found out was I happened to see it posted on a USF student based website....  but didnt see it until 1:30pm today.  outside of that I havent seen anything about it.  I was on campus 4-5 times this week, regularly read the Oracle, this website and the above mentioned USF student based website and saw nothing about it

If it's a PROMOTION, then it should be promoted.

Giving out free beer and food is no different than giving away bobblehead dolls. In fact it sounds to me like it's a BETTER idea.

There were signs at the game for free beer with a USF ID...but I hadn't heard about it before I got there.

As a matter of a fact, the only place I've heard about the USF spring game is here.  I would have gone last year had I known!
