Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

Thank you,

FSU currently in new ACC deal- $17MM w/ Tier 3 media rights included

FSU after moving to B12- $20MM/yr + $4MM/yr(for B12 adding 2 new ESPN approved teams) + Independent Network(we all know they could pull this off)- $5MM/yr + Conf Chamionship Money in excess of ACC now $1MM/yr + plus playoff slot in Final 4- Prolly another $3MM

Even if you don't make the playoffs it's a $30MM deal. WWBBD(what would Bobby Bowden do)?

WVU tier 3 network rights are $5-6 mil estimated, FSU tier 3 network is looking at $8-12 million.

You maybe right, I was being conservative in my estimate, but it's a big number in media rich, FSU established fan base, market. After their atletics losing $2.4 MM this year and $500K the year before, they are ACC history..

Time to set aside $20 million dollars as our early exit fee? While Uconn may come aboard before us, I think we are a solid #2 on the ACC's radar.

Based on what? You just went out on a limb further than anyone else.

Probably right, but it's fun to speculate.

UL is as good as gone. I really think that FSU will make this move due to the current financial state of their program. the question is who will the ACC want to replace them. UCONN and BC are publicially trying to undo 7 years of bad blood. ND is starting to feel to realize just how alone they are being a FB independent in the current playoff negotiations, and might realize that a conference affiliation may give them a louder voice. Personally, I think ND is the best option for the ACC, but they are still on the fence. The question then would be how long will the ACC wait to move on to the next options:. UC, good school, lousy facilites. UCONN, the BC issue still is not resolved, USF FL market with upgraded facilities, smaller fan base than FSU which hurts us, but we have recent BBall sucess with 2 post season appearences in 3 years. Rutgers, not impressive. There are only 4-6 teams that are not members of the SEC, BIG10, and Big 12 worthy of replacing FSU and we are one of them. We are number 3 ( 2 if ND sticks its nose in the air again). the problem with the ACC is that they are more just as basketballl oriented as the BE is. But hell for 17MM a year, I'll take it.

"Those Big 12 sources say there is no urgency to add one or two more schools and that if the 10-team league couldn't land a game changer (which Florida State would be), there's no reason to expand because of the 13-year granting of rights binding the league together."

either this writer is full of **** or UL ain't going to the B12

why would USF get an invite just because FSU left? There are so many more schools that are in front of us. everyone needs to calm down.

It's not that we would, it's just that it's our best opportunity.
