I guess he must be recovering well. Let's pray he stays healthy.

Ennis, Brandon send message with an impressive blowout

BRANDON - After Korri Ennis and his teammates dismantled Sickles 96-54 Thursday night, the senior guard uttered something that might serve as a warning to future opponents.

"This is nowhere near close to what we can do," Ennis said.

That is difficult to imagine.

On this night, Brandon seemingly did everything right. In fact, all that kept the Eagles from scoring 100 points was a running clock in the final minutes.

"They were trouble across the board," Sickles coach Renaldo Garcia said.

No kidding.

Eleven Eagles scored, led by South Florida signee Zaronn Cann's 23 points. Aubrey Brown and Jamal Thompson had 16 each, Ennis added 12 and Mario Walker 11. Brandon (26-2), which owns a 61-game winning streak against county foes, drained 11 3-pointers.

"We shot the ball so well," Eagles coach Mark Hermann said.

The game was won in the second quarter. Leading 25-20 after the first, Brandon exploded for 36 in the second behind six 3-pointers. During one stretch, the Eagles scored 11 points in 70 seconds. The result was a 61-39 halftime lead that Sickles (19-9) simply could not overcome.

"We played extremely hard," Hermann said. "Since I've been here, I don't think we've ever put 61 on the board in the first half."

In the opening quarter, a 42-point win would have been difficult to foresee. After falling behind 10-4, Sickles rallied behind the play of guard Brandon Powell (24 points) to take a 20-19 lead with 41 seconds left. Two quick Brandon 3-pointers not only helped the Eagles regain the lead but served as a springboard for the second-quarter outburst.

"In the first quarter I was pretty pleased," Garcia said. "But in the second, they just went on an unbelievable run."

seems like if zaronn is healthy he is a BE caliber player

so is dennis collins if he makes the fr to so adjustment

if the predue transfer produces he is as well

and s. jones and prek become solid role players

then we have a nuclues in place to compete with the middle of the pack in the BE. defense and consistancy will determine our win/loss record

anyone who has higher expectations for Bball AT THIS TIME (next 3yrs) in dreaming

Lindy's preseason BB magazine had him, I believe, the 78th ranked high school recruit in the nation

I think he'll be a huge addition to the Bulls

and that is his POST knee-operation ranking.

He was much much higher (top 20) prior to the injury.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
