the BasketBulls would of won the following games...

Locks:

MVSU

SLU

More than likely:

@Richmond

50/50 chance:

@Marquette

@USC

Houston@USF

UAB@USF

Meaning realistically our Basketbulls would have 5 more wins for a 16-9 record.  Making our Bulls a NIT bubble team.  Just some food for thought.  Oh and if you are the type to say, "well all teams must deal w/injuries" then I guess you think the Miami Heat will be the same w/o Shaq.  Right, Darksiders?

Doug, haven't you been paying attention? CRM can't recruit worth a lick therefore Bradley must surely suck and wouldn't have made a bit of difference ...

Would it be wrong to say if Seth didn't have certain injuries we would have made the NCAA's?

Let's just leave it at that. Injuries happen... How many games would have Mosely saved? Three at most IMO... he's a good ball player... but when people go down, others need to step it up. Next year, Mosely will have to really step it up... or Mr. Purdue will be carrying this team on his shoulders!

This season was lost from the start anyway - this team wasn't going to go anywhere with or without Bradley Mosley. Sure we might have a lock on the CUSA tournament instead of the present nail-biting, but so what? Nobody's going to remember this season a couple years down the road unless we went to the NIT/NCAA. Nobody was expecting that from the outset, before any injuries.

The positive aspect of Mosley's absence, if there is one, is to give the underclassmen more playing time. If McCullum's players are worth a lick, they will gain maturity and experience from this year and be more prepared for the years ahead.

Mosley would have helped, but we still probably wouldn't have won all of those games mentioned... a couple, a few, yes.  We'd have probably ended right around .500 for the season, maybe slightly higher... maybe 7-9 in conference at best.

**** Sheriff, are you capable of posting ANYTHING on this boeard without mentioning Seth??? I didn't infer any comparison to Seth in BullDoug's original post, there's no need to defend him.

I love reading your posts, usually very insightful, but man, enough is enough with the Seth stuff already.

Bulldoug, yes I would agree that we'd have a couple more wins with B Mosley in the lineup but agree more with Markeymark....this season wasn't expected to produce anything this year anyways, and missing Mosley turned out to be a positive for the youngsters that gained some PT. Lets hope Mosley recovers fully, we'd love to have him back in the green & gold.

I agree Bulldoug. What this team was lacking this year was a 3rd scoring option and some help at the point. Mosley (our 2nd leading scorer last year) would have done wonders for us. When teams keyed on shutting down Leather or Swift, we were done. Turnovers killed us. While we may not have made the NCAA or NIT, I think a better conference record and possibly a mini-run in CUSA tourney would have been likely. I'm still hoping for the CUSA tourney run though. Some might think that this amounts to not producing anything but to me this is quite good progress for a 2nd year in a rebuild.

I think Bradley would have made a big difference.  He was our most consistent player.  He had no Leather games, where he fouled out with no points.  I think 5 more wins is totally realistic.

Also, what players missed entire seasons when Seth was here?  Scott Johnson, maybe the softest big man ever.  Altron and BB only missed games for doing drugs and the like.  Sure Reggie had the bad leg, but he couldn't play D or penetrate with 2 good legs.  I remember Artha Reeves being hurt, but I don't think he missed that many games.  I don't think Seth was ever in the position to use injuries as an excuse for his inability to coach.

Chonsey Asbury missed MANY games and had his career completely altered and cut short by injuries.  I think he could have been very special had he been healthy while here.

    We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
