Hey guys, I'm actually a Gamecock alumni and diehard fan that moved to Tampa about 7 months ago...however, I have always actually liked and followed the USF team.

Not only do I think they have garnered more success in the shortest time period in the history of college football, I feel like my Gamecocks have ties in certain strange ways to Tampa and the Bulls. We have played in numerous Outback Bowls in Tampa, you have Skip Holtz as coach (who coached me at a Carolina football camp), and...we are both Under Armour schools? Ha.

I want to attend tonight's game, but it will actually be my 2nd USF game and my 3rd trip inside RayJay. I went to the 2001 Outback Bowl where Carolina whipped up on the eventual 2002 National Champions- Ohio State. Then years later I went to a USF/Rutgers game during the Ray Rice days.

At any rate, glad to be here and I've slowly been trying to adopt USF as my second team...especially now that I live in Tampa and making it to Columbia for home games is super tough (although I was in Columbia for our beatdown of Clemson last week).

My question and focus of this post:

The Rutgers game I attended years ago was with a student so I got in free. I know the tickets prices are pretty low in comparison to the $60 a pop (plus dues and fees) I'm used to paying for my upper deck season tickets...and I also noticed whenever I was at the game that the top decks are either empty or closed off. Is this still the case during USF games? Is it possible to get free tickets?

My girlfriend and I want to go tonight and support the Bulls...need to become bowl eligible and send those toothless hillbillies back to WV with their BCS dreams in flames!

Thanks! Sorry for the long post!

Also...can you buy beer in the stadium since it is an NFL stadium?

Where is the best place to buy some USF gear at reasonable prices?

Beer is sold in the stadium. If you want gear today, try Bulls Heaven on Florida or Fowler, Bulls Outfitter on Fowler, or the USF Bookstore. I've gotten gear at Bealls, Dillards, Sears, and ****'s Sporting Goods. They will have gear for sale at the stadium, tool.

You might be able to find some free tickets walking around the stadium prior to the game. Even if you had to pay for some from a scalper they wouldn't be that much because the demand is pretty low right now. Welcome to the Bulls family!

See you at the game. Thanks for your support. There will be people selling tix in the parking lot.

also, I think it's funny when the message board filters out ****'s sporting goods.

You should be able to get lower bowl tickets from a scalper for less then $20 a pop. Wait until close enough to the game start time and you should be able to offer $20 for two and walk right in.

If your still looking for some good but cheap seats call my boy Mike Stuben over at the USF ticket office... think there # is 1800 GO Bulls... there should be PLENTY of seats available for tonight's game. I'm not 100% sure but I would imagine that you could buy them over the phone and pick them up at the stadium.

After all if your going to buy tickets, might as well buy them from the University to help out the program.

Walmart and Target both have really inexpensive shirts. Probably $15 or so.

As for tickets, I'd scalp one if I were looking. I am thinking that there will be plenty of tickets and probably for half the face value. Best place to get them is south of the stadium on the sidewalk that faces the ticket windows, but just across the street since they cannot sell/scalp right in front of the box office.

Worst case, there are tickets available at the box office. But I'd be surprised if you pay more than $15 a ticket for lower section (100/200)

There are some people outside the stadium who buy tickets real cheap from ticket holders and then re-sell them for more money. Those are what I would term "scalpers". There are also plenty of Bulls fans who have an extra ticket or two, or three, or four because somebody didn't want to go to the game. They can try to sell the extra tickets at the stadium. I wouldn't call them scalpers, and that's who I would try to get a ticket from. The scalpers will rarely if at all be wearing USF gear. If there are a lot of tickets for sale at the game, somebody may even give you one, especially if you are wearing Bulls gear.

Go Bulls!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
