One way to lesson NCAA penalties is to impose penalties on yourself. This tells me they are in it deep with the NCAA, and they know it.

It isn't like they announced this at the beginning of the season. Does anyone think for a second if UM had chance to play for ACC title they would have imposed this? They know they are going to a crappy bowl and now want to try and take the high road. Doesn't matter to me one way or another. Our O had every opportunity in the world to win last night and decided to lay an egg. Neither Miami or USF deserve to be bowling this year and it has nothing to do with recruiting violations.
