Gran Canaria inks McDonald

Gran Canaria has reached an agreement with center Will McDonald (208, 25), who signed a one-season contract with the team. McDonald, a blue-collar player with good rebounding skills, arrives from Chalon-Sur-Saone and averaged 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in 34 French League games, despite playing less than 26 minutes per night. It was his first pro experience after finishing his college career in the University of South Florida (NCAA), and helped Chalon to make it to the French League semifinals, in which the team was close to knock down current champs Pau Orthez. He is expected to arrive to Gran Canaria next week.
