Just curious what the consensus is, but is it time to give Bobby E. a shot at starting QB?

He sure did have the poise last fall at Miami.

I think we pay our coaching staff an awful lot of money to evaluate talent AND they have access to a lot more information than I do, so I trust their opinion. If this team isn't competitive next year I think it is time to give another head coach a shot. I hope, regardless of what we do in the next 4 games, Doug makes clear to Skip his expectations and that the kind of product he put together this year will not be tolerated at South Florida.

Sadly I think most of our fans have left or become apathetic.

I'd be open to it, realizing that we have a lot more problems than BJ Daniels. The coaching on defense has been terrible this year for the most part. Fundamentals are bad, though the talent is there. And coaching makes a big difference on that side of the ball. Take a look at Michigan's defense this year compared to last year. They are not world beaters, but they are much better than many thought they would be because the new DC stressed fundamentals and is not a guy that focuses in on schemes.

BJ had his problems last night, but defensive breakdowns and special teams were worse. Granted, there was only one missed tackle on that kickoff return, but guys didn't collapse and were out of position - at least it looked like that to me. Then they backed into prevent mode. With just under eight minutes, we were up by 14. The missed FG at the end also hurts.

Fundamentals. Tackling, Being where you are supposed to be. This team has been bad at this all year. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can't master fundamentals then you are susceptible to these kind of collapses. Same goes for Daniels. Talented guy, but he hasn't even mastered simple passes. He looked good earlier in the season and has regressed.

Only time Eveld should see the field is if B.J. is too hurt to play.

You guys are on paint chips if you think Bobby Eveld is even half the talent BJ Daniels is... How many dropped passes did BJ deal with yesterday? BJ placed us in a position to win. We left points on the board all night. It's comical to say the least. The only game BJ didn't have us in was the Pitt game. BJ got screwed by the coaching staff against UConn... he should have thrown for 300+ yards (which he has proven he can do successfully - see the UC game). Our wonderful OC decided to run 5,000 times even though the blue print from the previous teams indicated that UConn's pass defense was more porous than a UF sorority girl. Count me as someone on the Daniels bandwagon. He made good reads last night on the option plays and was the catalyst for our offense when the ball wasn't in the hands of Scott. We're two drives and one smarter than a 5th grader OC from being 7-1 vice 4-4.

BJ has had us in every game with the exception of Pitt.

He can't be blamed for the constant missed field goals, fumbles, and poor defense (especially in the final two minutes).

This season is so frustrating because we could easily be 7-1. You put Eveld in there and not only are we going to lose every game, but you are telling BJ that you don't have confidence in him. He has greatly improved from last season. No point in putting in a quarterback that is worse, it isn't going to help this team.

Sure. And since he's so **** awesome let's make sure he takes all field goal attempts during a game and also takes over defensive coordinator duties in the last 5 minutes of the game.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
