Just one of those "Murphy's Law" type of years for USF.

When you play every game to take in to the 4th quarter and win in a nail biter, you're going to lose some. It's the law of averages. That's why scared and conservative coaches don't make it. Come on Bulls grow a pair.

I agree totally with this. we won the close ones last year. 2 OT wins and a 1 point win. this year we are not. I hate coaching not to lose. it should have cost us the ND game too. we easily could be 3-5 with our only wins against 3 cupcakes. Holtz is not a closer.

It just seems that we were winning this type of game last year. We had a few "skin of our teeth" victories last year, but are not winning them this year, except for ND. Its the difference between 4-4 and 7-1, or somewhere in between.

In the BE you have to win close games, period. Holtz is to blame here.

its simple, same thing vs Cincy. We have a little lead and start to play conservative. I know I was joking in the chat room, but this team puts on the prevent defense when we're up by 7. We need to blitz every down to make up for our poor secondary play. I dont care if we are up by 20 or down 10.

on offense, we need to play to score, not whatever it is we do. very tough loss.

After watching last night's 4th quarter debacle I'm convinced this coaching staff has no clue how to coach in tight games.

Clock management two weeks in a row has been pathetic. Why would we snap the ball on a critical 3rd and 2 with one second left on the clock at the end of the third quarter last night and not take the time to discuss a play???

Completely leave Sanu uncovered to catch 4-5 passes on the last drive when he is their primary offensive weapon?

How can a defense totally shut a team down for 58 minutes and then disappear on the last drive? Coaching or personnel?

On offense looks like we were playing scared or like we were behind after the kick returned for a touchdown by Rutgers.

The most obvious question is, where was Scott in the 4th quarter after he basically ran through the Rutgers defense the first 3 quarters?

Many more questions for this staff, however this game is over and the team has to travel to Syracuse and hopefully find a way to win instead of finding numerous ways to lose.

You do realize that Skip was also the coach last year?

last year we were 1 game away from a share of the title... this year, with what i think is a better team, we are 0-4

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
