Judy and Doug got NOTHING. absolutely NOTHING. and most of it is beyond their control.

would it really be helpful for them to come out and say "yeah we got nuthin. we are completely helpless to prevent USF's football program from being flushed down the crapper" ??? they have no choice but to keep their mouths shut, because nothing they say right now is going to help us or make the situation any better.

they're like a nerd's pair of underwear hoisted up on the school flag pole, flapping in the wind, completely exposed and helpless to do anything about it.

Awesome analogy... you deserve a niiiccceee

According to the ESPN crawler, West Virginia is pointing to the fact that TCU was not held to a 27 month waiting period

They weren't even in the league. That's not going to help WVU.

Technically they were. I believe they had to pay the $5 mil tO get out

Maybe with their agreement the waiting period didn't kick in immediately ...

"During the weeks that followed the departure of Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and TCU, and the public acknowledgement by UCONN that it was exploring other conferences afflictions, the Big East and its Commission further breached their fiduciary duties to the Big East football schools. The Big East football schools advocated measures to be taken by the Big East and its Commissioner to maintain the level of competition of the Big east football conference. The non-football schools repeatedly exerted their newfound level of increased governance at the expense and to the detriment of the football schools. The Commissioner did nothing to protect the football playing schools and in fact took measures to further protect and advance the interests of non-football playing schools."

Just basing it on talk radio. They signed a contract, weren't full members until 7/1/12, but contractually obligated. They had to pay $5 mil to leave still. That's the basis of WVU's leaving.

Not sure how they can be contractually bound to a league they weren't technically in, thus they shouldn't have been subjected to the by law of conference membership until July 1, 2012.

I can't disagree with WV's lawsuit... I hope they win... perhaps then and only then will Tater Head get fired and the leaches (i.e. basketball teams) will get the boot...

You can sign contracts to agree to join, intentions and whatnot it happens everyday. Their sports weren't members yet, but all reports indicate they paid $5 to leave

I am beginning to wonder if that is even factual.
