Good read, but I think they are a bit biased towards WVU. Another thing to consider is that many other schools will likely be unhappy that WVU filed suit. WVU could have a rough go of it in the future. Disadvantage: WVU

Interesting take on the buyout clause, but I thought it was actually worded that the money was owed in two payments with the first being at the time of exit. If that's the case, it wouldn't hurt the BE case.

It would be great to have the actual contracts available for perusing by someone that actually understands the legal ramifications.

Notice WHO the story doesn't mention as "engaging in discussions" with other conferences.

"Upon information and belief" is a very general term.

This doesn't mean USF hasn't been talking to anyone at all.

I really don't get all the blame for marinatto... I'm not in the board room but he has to act in the interest of the conference members...

Turning down the ESPN deal was actually smart from a business perspective... retroactively you accept the deal but how could he stop backroom dealings by Pitt and cuse?

Since then he's been in the worst position ever... he probably knowshow important football is but he can't act because he needs majority which the bball teams have.

Awful spot to be in from a business standpoint... lose lose

Usf needs to commit to the Be because it is the only option on the table at this time... if we get the east west model going we will be fine.

If that deal was accepted then we wouldn't be where we were at. Can't blame Marinatto back then because no one else knew what Pitt and 'Cuse was up to.

According to the ESPN crawler, West Virginia is pointing to the fact that TCU was not held to a 27 month waiting period.

They weren't even in the league. That's not going to help WVU.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
