Why are the visiting team fans still in section 132?

Can somebody tell me why the visiting team fans are still given seating in section 132?

Is this a Big East mandate, or just the USF choice? I understand that this was where they needed to be placed when we utilized only the lower bowl, but the upper bowl has been open for the last 4 years. Why still give them premium seating? Even just the slightest bit of disruption to our offense in the endzone area is unwarranted.

Can't we move them to section 332? That would help fill a block in the upper portion of the stadium and allow some of our fans to come to the lower bowl. When fans make a choice to come to an away game, the location of seats plays no role. In fact, most expect to have bad seats.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Every school give the opposition a lower bowl section. We had it at Auburn and Notre Dame. It's common courtesy.

Most places seem to give a minimum of some lower bowl tix for the "elite" donors from visiting schools.

If I'm not mistaken, a lot of schools have some tix right behind the visitor's bench ...

It's true that we have to keep a section but it shouldn't be a full section... give them 128 which is the pie section in the corner. That would prohibit any bands from sitting there. I just can't wait to have the Marching Chiefs sitting there next season... that's just going to be great.

I actually asked Bill McGillis about this earlier this season... he said they had no plans to change where they sit the visitors section.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
