Philly mayor and PA governor lobby for Temple - hilarious that the mayor would "welcome the BE to Philadelphia" like he is not aware of Villanova.

http://phillysportsd...o-allow-temple/

Remember when TH came out and said they wouldn't be pursuing any teams in states that already had teams? Now trying the hail Mary, he trys to do it in TX, FL and PA

from deadspin who has a copy of the lawsuit on their site. "In the way of news, the suit confirms that UConn, Louisville, Rutgers and Cincinnati have held discussions with other conferences about jumping ship." Doesn't mention USF.

Page 6, Paragraph 27 is where this confirmation took place. Pretty vague about all but UConn and doesn't say a thing about USF NOT having discussions, which I would hope WVU wouldn't be privy to to begin with ...

if they don't have any real info on the discussions, why not include us with everyone else?

From just a PR standpoint, you'd think we'd as a conference would want to start inviting somebody, anybody. I mean, image is everything, right? What kind of press and press treatment has the BE received in, oh, the last 3 months? We were always thought of as the weakest AQ conference, and lately we've been the place all legit conferences go to pad their numbers. We're looking like emasculated idiots. We've done NOTHING, not One single thing, that's outwardly or publicly proactive. At this point, it doesn't matter what's going on behind the scenes. We're seeing NO results. AT ALL.

How about the BE actually gets off its arse and does something active to try to save itself. Give the media SOMETHING that's not outright horrible to report about us.

How can we invite anyone when the teams still in don't commit. That's where WVU will have trouble with their suit because if they have failed to provide a firm commitment this whole time then they've just been undermining the commissioner.

Maybe that's part of the problem with Marinatto. Maybe many of the members have been sneaking out and putting out feelers with other conferences for a while. So a school like WVU has probably promoted conference instability.

HAHAHAHA!!!! WVU is the biggest hypocrite in all of this mess. THEY WERE HAVING CONVERSATIONS TOO SO THEY DON'T HAVE ANY GROUND TO STAND ON!!!!

At the minimum, we know they were having conversations with the Big XII !!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! And there were the rumors of the ACC and SEC as well. And... THEY LEFT THE CONFERENCE!!! Uconn, Rutgers, Cincinatti and Louisville as far as I can tell are still here and yet WVU is sueing them.... AAAHAHAHAHA!!!! I can only laugh when confronted with such hypocrisy.

And to add to that, the only thing the Big East is doing now that is not in WVU's interest is holding them to the 27th month waiting period!!! That is why WVU is suing, to try and weasel out of it. I hope they lose and have to pay the Big East in damages!!!
