“He’s come a million miles, and I’m excited about Terrence. Having him out there, his energy and just his personality out there, he’s a great young man,” McGeoghan said. “To have him out there with the unit kind of boosts everybody up. It’s encouraging. His progress is great, his reaction time is back up, he’s catching the ball well.”

USF coach Skip Holtz, who said last week that Mitchell had been working out sympton free, has said previously that coaches and trainers will proceed with caution regarding Mitchell, a former Hillsborough High standout who also suffered a concussion during his prep career that sidelined him for a few weeks. McGeoghan echoed those sentiments but added it’s “not out of the question” that Mitchell could play Nov. 5 at Rutgers if he’s cleared by the team’s medical staff.

Great news, he's quickly become one of my favorite players. Obviously this was a pretty serious concussion. I hope the coaching staff has a discussion about his tacking technique. ;)

If we win at Rutgers, then he truly is our x factor.

4-0 with him

0-3 without

We've definitely missed this kid over our losing streak. I hope he's back to full strength next week.

Good that he's got an extra week to get ready. I'm so glad he's back. He's been needed.

Glad to hear that he is healthy and back at practice. As others have said, I hope he can play and be a factor in our win.

Does anybody know if he is going to play tonight? Maybe he is our good luck charm. Sure do miss his punt returning.

Definitely miss him! I doubt he would have turned over that PR deep in our territory against RU.

Hasn't been mentioned so I doubt we see him tonight. Kind of surprising to see him out 7+ weeks for this.

Although watching his injury live it looked like he could have been out for the season.
