He was the final receiver released by the Colts.Memphis coach Danton Barto, a Florida native, remembers Hicks from his Tarpon days, when he recorded 69 catches for 2,183 yards as a junior and made All-State teams as a junior and senior.Hicks had a tryout with the Arena Football2 League last year. He originally was against going the arena route, because he hadn't played defense since high school.Hicks still is hoping for a shot at a roster spot on a team in NFL Europe, but the Arena Football2 league provides a way to stay in football shape. The Xplorers season begins April 3.http://www.heraldtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050201/COLUMNIST37/502010576

I think only a few play only offense and only defense.
