The Boise St game was on at work tonight and some of us were talking and an interesting hypothetical/question came up.

Suppose at the end of the season, there are 3 undefeated teams, Oklahoma (12-0), Boise State (13-0), and USF (12-0). Oklahoma would be the given choice, but who do they play for the national championship?

Not saying it will happen, just an interesting topic to think about.

And they would pair up 13-0 Boise St and 12-0 USF in the lowest BCS bowl.

I really don't think an undefeated BCS team would miss out on the MNC game if they are only one of two undefeated teams.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that would cause the BCS to collapse.

As to the scenario above, it probably would be Oklahoma and Boise State, because Boise State started ranked higher that USF.  Our non-conference schedule is not looking as strong as it did when we scheduled it.

Fiesta and Orange would be the only options and you'd need a good deal to happen for that scenario to take place.

then I don't think you understand how the BCS system works or you haven't been paying attention for the past 10 years

and it won't collapse-- I would expect us to be in whoever picks last bowl based not on team strength but on fan base perception.

these would be great problems to have, how about we agree to disagree and cross that bridge should it ever come to it. Odds are long that USF goes undefeated in the first place (tons of season left)

Exactly. Who would likely bring the least amount of fans to the game? Its all about the $$$.

LSU just needs to lose WVU and stay undefeated until they come to Tampa Dec 1 and winner would make it to NC if LSU only lost that 1 game or maybe 1 more all year
