Nice to see.

Grothe (6-foot-0, 205 lbs., South Florida) appeared in the final two games of the 2011 season helping the Storm finish the season on a high-note as he led the team to a 57-44 victory over the San Jose Sabercats.  In his two appearances, the former USF standout, completed 29-of-58 passes for 440 yards and 10 touchdowns

TAMPA – Former Bulls quarterback Matt Grothe impressed the Tampa Bay Storm in his short time with the team this past season and now he’s being rewarded for his efforts.

The Arena Football League team announced Friday that they’ve signed the Big East’s all-time leader in offensive yards to a contract for the 2012 season.

Grothe completed 29 of 58 passes for 440 yards and 10 touchdowns in two appearances with Tampa Bay and led the Storm to a victory in their season finale.

Former USF wide receiver Amarri Jackson already has been resigned by Tampa Bay after setting a top franchise mark in receiving touchdowns (23), catches (125) and receiving yards (1,619) for a rookie.

AJax is in on it too. Storm sounds like a nice home for Bulls who don't go straight to the NFL.
