How about 64 conferences, one team each!

...resulting in a lot of playing with yourself during the season?

I almost spit my drink out when I read that.

Meanwhile, while everybody here seems to be taking this lightly, Pitt and Syracuse have been talking to the ACC, according to the NYT.

What are we doing?

No time for wait and see. If I'm woolard, I'm getting us, WVU, cincy, TCU, and UL on the phone with big 12 commish.

(those 5 plus ISU KSU KU TTU Baylor make 10, Texas makes 11)

IMO, USF would fit best into a 16 team ACC. We should make that our first priority. Genshaft has a lot of political clout and she should pursue all avenues trying to make that happen.

What are we doing?

Hopefully taking care of business in the business room, not in the media.

I started this thread with that hope. Considering, that USF is not even being mentioned among the possible ACC candidates in the media, leads me to be less hopeful. There is nothing wrong with announcing an exploratory committee, like FSU did, to consider our options. At least we would know that USF is taking it seriously, and we would become part of the discussion.

In the history of the BCS, has there ever been a team that is left in the cold because of conference realignment? Like a Baylor or a USF might. This isn't looking promising.
