Ummm...they should always be your leading tackler.  Especially with how often our safeties are in coverage

I don't think its the fact that they are the leading tacklers but more so about "look how productive they are." I think thats what stands out about those stats after 2 games....18 tackles for Linaris so far, projected for 13 games, that's a 117 tackles

Well we won the TOP of battle against Notre Dame and lost it to Ball State but I think thats more of a function of us using a methodical hurry up offense

Top tacklers at LB are ok with me, means they offense is not making a living on the second level....bad ju ju if your top tackler is a CB or Safety

getting high tackle stats is great unless you have barrett ruud syndrome:  wait for the offense to get 5 yds then tackle.  fail.
