Course Detail: OSCSMCW0 - Computers I with Windows 7/Vista: The Very Beginning

For students who have either Windows 7 or Windows Vista on their home computers, this is where you begin. You are welcome even if you have never touched a computer. This course includes step-by-step instructions designed to introduce you to a computer, its keyboard and mouse, as well as a few simple programs. A strong emphasis is placed on practice using the mouse. Because of the similarities of these two operating systems, students who have either Windows 7 or Windows Vista on their home computers can learn the basics in this course. Upon successful completion of the course, you will have overcome any initial fear of the computer and will be prepared for more advanced computer courses, such as "Computers II with Windows 7/Vista" or "Email Basics and Beyond." (Technology)

Note: Parking is free by valet, and on-street parking is also available.

Instructor

Cecelia Vance came to OLLI as a computer student in 2001 and soon became a volunteer, then an instructor in 2004. Previously, she taught English and dance. She is an OLLI "Roll of Honor" faculty member.
