There's an obvious built in advantage for the home team.  It's a short week for both teams, but the road team loses an extra day travelling.

The same reason everyone is worried about the Thursday night game @ Pitt

if this becomes the BE title game, then it'll just as crazy as when we played them in 2007.  at least for now, it looks to be headed that way.

Ordinarily I consider Thursday night games a necessary evil for Big East teams but when you look at the rest of the schedule that week, this is set up to be the 2nd best game, behind Oklahoma at Oklahoma St.  With so few teams playing we could get a better TV audience on Saturday and a better crowd too and if things were just right an ESPN gameday.

Don't need to worry about the crowd, I expect the game to be sold out. More people in attendance at USF v WVU on Thursday night than any Bucs home game this year as long as USF keeps rolling and it does come down to WVU and USF for Big East.

I don't just mean bigger crowd, I said better.  It can probably sell out either way but I'd rather have the opportunity for alumni all over region to make it in and be a part of the crowd, than a bunch of local band-wagoners who will leave early and/or boo the home team if things don't go great, as well as the casual WVU fans, and lets face it the somewhat questionable characters that a $10 ticket will bring in.
