We got worked on paper.

Conservative offense plus a defensive scheme where the CB's don't press and the safeties aren't in the box until the opponent is in the red zone will do that.

When I look at the stats it makes me think we looked like VaTech.  The other one that jumped out was the TOP in the fourth qtr - we had the ball forever.

They hardly ran in the fourth quarter if at all.  Also, a number of times the timekeeper was a bit tardy in his clockwork.

We were down about 50 yards in the first half.  We lost an offensive possession due to the Webster TD return and had short fields on the field goals.  So I considered the first half a yardage draw.

We did struggle coming out from the delay, we lost emotion and were not as on edge.  Combined with being up 16-0 and a relatively conservative game plan we really were not pushing on offense.  Despite this we got an 80 yard drive when we had to in the 4th.

Finally, if playing opportunistic defense and basic offense is not a strategy to win then someone take away vatech's conference titles and that Ohio state national title.

Yup - I remember at 10:41 it stayed there for along time.  I was wondering if they had changed the rules in college football  !
