Kawika Mitchell - LB - Saints

Free agent LB Kawika Mitchell will work out for the Giants this week.

The injury-plagued 31-year-old played just one game with the Saints last season after beginning the year on Buffalo's I.R. list. He does have experience with Perry Fewell's defense with the Bills. Mitchell could compete with rookie Greg Jones for the starting MLB job if signed. Keith Bulluck is on speed dial as well

I was wondering if anyone was going to bring him in. Had my doubts since we were getting closer to the season. Hopefully he's been staying in shape and can stay healthy if picked up. Best of luck to him.

Yeah I saw him too. I drank with him and a few other older players on Friday night after the Cubs game all over Wrigleyville.

hopefully he can stay healthy. He's getting up there in age and this may be his last chance to latch on to a team.
