In our past 3 road games we have beaten Miami (5), Clemson (1) and Notre Dame (11) who have a combined 17 Football National Championships.

Pretty impressive for a 13 year old program.  Can you feel it.... there is something special brewing in Tampa!!

When will we get ours???

With the current BCS system, we will not. Its about $$$$$, not determining the best team.

All we had to do was keep winning and we would have gotten a shot before.  Why would that change?

Thats pure speculation. When we were #2 in '07, who's to say a 1 loss SEC team wouldn't be voted ahead of us by the end of the season.

Who's to say they wouldn't?  Cincy has had a shot and West Virginia as well just in the past 6 years.  No reason a Big East team can't get a shot the National Title if they win out.

Of course, we do have to hope others lose...

I completely disagree. The big east is not highly regarded and an undefeated conference champ would be treated in the same manner as a non aq team, unless they play one hell of an ooc schedule.

No offense, but you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about.

Why? You are naive if you think its not about money. What happened to that 2009 cinci team again? Weak sos and the perception of the league in general is a huge hurdle to overcome.

You do realize that Texas and Alabama were also undefeated that year? Boise State and TCU were also undefeated.

2009 pre-season rankings... Texas - 2, Alabama - 5, Cincy - NR, Boise - 14, TCU - 17

2009 final regular season rankings... Bama - 1, Texas - 2, Cincy - 3, TCU - 4, Boise - 6

I don't know how you expect Cincy to jump pre-season top 5 teams who don't stumble throughout the year, but, they were ahead of the non-AQ's.

In 2007, 1-loss WVU was ahead of 1-loss Ohio State before they laid an egg vs. Pitt. They would have been playing in the NC if they had won. OSU didn't play a championship game, and wouldn't have done anything to jump WVU.

I'll give you brand recognition (i.e. why was Cincy not ranked to start the 2009 season), but, it is 100% possible to get in the game from the Big East. If Texas hadn't finished the 2009 season undefeated, Cincy WOULD have played for the championship. If WVU beat Pitt in 2007, WVU WOULD have played in the championship game.

It's not speculation, that's just the way it is. You are the one speculating that the polls would have magically re-aligned the world in a conspiracy to leave a BE school out.

If USF, Alabama, and Oklahoma all finish this season undefeated, you're right, we won't be playing for the national championship, but, I don't think we can complain about that really...
