holtz demonstrated he is one of the better coaches in the game

the transformation of this program has been nothing short of amazing

contrast that to kelly who was insane and his players played so tight and frightened

he was falling apart every other play

no wonder nd players couldnt perform

This couldn't have shinned clearer than on the second delay.  For those at the game you may not have noticed, but skip calmly walked out to mid-field and motioned his team to come in, business as usual.  Here he is on the cusp of a huge upset, ready to get things done, but by his demeanor you would have thought he had always scheduled a little intermission at 4:26 left in the game.

I don't want this to turn into a Leavitt bashing thread... Jim was a great coach and this program wouldn't be what it is or where it is without him.  But I certainly prefer the more under control demeanor of Skip!

I said on another post that the attitude on the sideline also seems to be a factor in personal fouls.  You have a maniac on the sidelines and in turn you have maniacs on the field committing stupid penalties.
