Either way, they are an awful sports network. There analysts are some of the least informed most incompetent folks I have ever heard. Obviously they are only responsible for covering ND football, so that is about all they know.Called this biggest win in our programs history... beating ND? Probably not even in top 5. Big win, but what an awful network.I hope if we ever play ND on NBC again we can get some color analysts broadcast on web, so I can just mute my TV. I know you can listen to radio, but it isn't the same.

Big win, but what an awful network.this was definetely in our top 5.I say-WVU at home on Thurs Night ESPNFSU in their houseAuburn in their houseND in their houseMiami in their hosuethose are the top 5 wins in my opinion (in order)
Matt Posted September 4, 2011 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 12,293 Reputation: 64 Days Won: 0 Joined: 10/01/2003 Posted September 4, 2011 but i will say that NBC did not do a very good job letting everyone know it would be on VS. it is almost like it was a last minute decision.there was no scrolling bar across the bottom like ESPN would of done.it is very hard for a network to deal with all the weather delays that happened today/tonight though.

I'd say win over Miami was bigger and I'd also put UofL win when they were highly ranked at our place as our "coming out" win.So you put it at 4, I put it at a least 6, maybe a few spots higher if I thought about it... why are you so convinced it is "definitely" in our top 5? Big win no doubt though... and beyond any doubt not our biggest.

That I was there didn't hurt. This was a good win though- but I thought it was going to happen so it was not as big a surprise as that Pitt game was-- I guess newer fans didn't see that game as a big deal but it was the first victory over someone that mattered.
Matt Posted September 4, 2011 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 12,293 Reputation: 64 Days Won: 0 Joined: 10/01/2003 Posted September 4, 2011 i would say because it was on opening weekend. much more attention on it since most teams are playing mop up teams.add to the fact that notre dame is the most watched team every single week in the nation.skip holtz vs lou holtz legecy that every major network picked up on.they were "ranked" 16.as for that louisville game. USF and Louisville fans are the only ones who know that game even exsisted. to the rest of the world that was just an overhyped louisville team getting brought down to earth.either way...no single "win" means anything on a national level. in college football if you want to build a name you got to do it week in and week out.so lets go the next 3 home games and build on it. no let downs and be 4-0 heading into Pitt for some major payback
