i haven't heard much  lately about his son coming to usf?

That's because his son was going to be a walk on, so his name didnt come up during recruiting conversations, however now that you mention it, I am not sure if he is still coming here or not.

As for the Ripple effect, Just heard on the local news OJ Murdock is heading to S.C. I doubt that would be the case if it werent for Spurrier.

Last I heard, which was right after Spurrier signed with USC, was that his son planned to walk on for his dad.
