SBIrishFan Posted September 3, 2011 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 4 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 09/03/2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I would like to thank thebullspen for accepting my application to join. I am a Notre Dame fan born and bred in South Bend, IN, where i have lived for 20 of my 28 years. I have followed the Bulls loosely ever since that magical 2007 and have always like seeing a "W" in the column for the Bulls. The past few weeks i have been lurking on here trying to learn as much as i could about the USF football program. I've been impressed with the level of football conversation that is often times never seen on message boards for other teams, including Notre Dame. I'm interested in learning about the traditions of the Bulls young program and learning about the thoughts of Bulls fans on not only USF, but college football as a whole. I would like to make a prediction for the game, but with it being only the first game of the season for both squads, I've found it too hard to make a justified prediction on how the game will play out. I feel there are too many unknowns on both squads. From my overbearing ND side, last year was a tale of two seasons and were the last 4 games just a tease or the real deal?I look forward to the game in 15 hours as I am sure all of you are. It goes without saying that i hope for an Irish victory just as much as all of you hope for a South Florida victory. Good luck, and enjoy the game.I hope everyone that is able to make it to South Bend has a wonderful experience and safe travels, just not for this game, but for every game this season.

He broke the Indiana record for receiving yards in a game with 477 tonight. I know he put up huge numbers in the first 2 games this season but 477 is ridiculous. I'm sure this doesn't belong so here it can be moved to where it needs to go. I doubt ND offers him and if they don't, i really hope he ends up at USF. I know Indiana high school football isn't the talent found elsewhere, but this kid is the real deal.

He wouldn't have to change his colors. ;D http://southflorida.scout.com/a.z?s=359&p=8&c=1&nid=4517647

I don't care how bad the high school competition may be up here in Indiana compared to other parts of the country, those types of numbers are just crazy. I just saw an update and it was actually 447 yards and 4 TD's

Sometimes talent goes unnoticed unless it is in one of the recruiting hotbeds(FL, CA, TX, GA, OH....). I wish him the best. Our recruiting class has been exceptional this year. We don't get a lotta love from the "recruiting" web sites(prolly because we have this website and don't subscribe to theirs). I've spent a bit of time in South Bend(old girlfriend from there) and know what a nice place it is to live. Congratulations on being ranked to start the season, I'm just so sorry that it will be tough to stay that way after the Bulls do their work tomorrow.
