First recognition

Been up in Chicago for a couple of days now. Wore a U S F shirt for the first time tonight. At the restaurant door a guy says "U S F, You up here for the game? " Told him we hope to have 3,500 here. He seemed impressed with that number.  He was a ND fan. God I hope we win.

I was at Disney a few weeks ago, I saw a whole family wearing Notre Dame gear. I straight up asked them if they knew who they were playing on Sept. 3rd. They had no idea....

Ha! Ha! I read about that same thing happening to someone visiting Disney recently. Not sure if that was you or someone else.

Win or lose this is very exciting for our program.

This is why I love being a Bull. Fans of these established programs will never know what it's like to beat a ranked opponent for the first time. Or to beat a big in state team finally. Or take on a new big time opponent across state lines.

We have many new frontiers. Championships, opponents, regions... And unlike fans of the established programs, we were there for the first time on those new frontiers.

Had "The Colors" on yesterday, saw a guy wearing them as well, he flashed The Horns, I replied with a Go Bulls. Getting on the Interstate last night, with flags flying off of the hatch window, guy passes us rolls down his window, to flash The Horns. We have to acknowledge each other, before we can expect others to do the same. At least for me that's happening more and more.

I'm setting up my 9 foot inflatable Rocky the Bull in my classroom tomorrow...  I think the students will notice.

I was just in NJ at a sports shop in the mall (not named Lids) and they had 2 different USF hat (green and beige fitted). I thought that was pretty awesome.

I was in Gatlingburg, TN over the summer and saw a family with USF gear on, gave them a "Go Bulls!"
