Was over near campus and had some time to kill before another appointment so I went over to the practice field.

I haven't watched a lot of practices before so I don't know if this is something they normally work on but one thing i thought was pretty interesting that some of the LBs were working on interceptions.  I wonder if we will see this carry over to the games with some INTs from our Linebacking core.

I know the coaching staff wants to focus on creating more turnovers this year.  Some of those guys can really snatch it too.  Barrington looks like he could play WR with the hands he has.

Bonani has a NFL caliber leg on him too.  I couldn't really see how accurate he was from the angle I was at but the sound of the ball off his foot is like a cannon and some major distance too.

Can't wait till Saturday.

Perhaps they're switching to a more zone blitz style of D with the LBs dropping into coverage more frequently. We know LeJiste can make some plays when he gets sent on the blitz, and Cliett is practically a safety (with his build and speed) at the weak side.

yea that would make sense and also be a good reason why they are putting Cliett in as a starter.

it's amazing how much video footage they must accumulate.  i counted about 6 different guys with video cameras at various drill stations.  no wonder coaches have 18 hour days.

Cliett is actually playing on the strong side not weak side. I was pretty much at every Vero practice except for the last walkthrough and have been to multiple practices since 2006. The LBs working on interceptions is something they did frequently in camp. Are you talking about in live game situations, which you would have to be watching from the fence because they don't let anyone inside unless invited to see past the first 30 minutes of practice. If you were at practice, inside the facility that probably means you were watching INT drills

I feel like I should redact your original post.  :)

Like, who told Craig James and Dougie Flutie that the Bulls actually practice illegal forward propulsion of the ball - with both arms held by the defender - at full game speed?

Someone had to tell them or tell Bluto Schiano.

;D Dang Bulliever, way to open up and pour salt in an old wound.

Still has to be the worst call in our history (against us of course)

Sorry,

There are a few things in Bulls Football History I still stew over.  That's one of them.  All you have to do is watch the video to know something wasn't right with that call.  But hey, I'll probably get called a whiner.  :)

Not by me, you won't. It was pure BS. End of story.

Oh, is that when I started to hate Craig James?  That might be it...I really can't stand that guy.
