I actually got really emotional about what these great people have done for our program. Humbled that I can't give like this and proud that my fellow Bullsl have seen fit to do so.

Generosity Has Made Dreams Become Reality at USF

TAMPA - Walk out to the USF football practice facility and it's a guarantee you'll be in awe of what you see.

Two grass fields and a cutting-edge turf surface might make you think you've walked onto the grounds of a prominent NFL team's home or football heaven for that matter.

What was once a dream has become a reality for the Bulls because of a generous gift from Frank and Carol Morsani.

To show their appreciation, USF football players, coaches, spirit squads and administration welcomed the giving couple to campus Thursday with a decked-out ribbon cutting ceremony at the facility that now bears Frank Morsani's name.

"Frank has a fabulous saying, 'In the first part of your life you learn. The second part of your life you earn and the final part of your life you return,' " USF President Judy Genshaft said. "He has followed that philosophy 100 percent."

Now, with USF being able to raise $111 million for USF Foundation, we need to start a USF on-campus Stadium fund with a 10 year goal to raise money for an on-campus stadium that seats 60,000.

Next up: Indoor Practice Facility (post first BCS appearance). Who is going to put the lead gift on that thing or will it have to be called The Bullspen Indoor Practice Facility. Can we raise the initial million for naming rights?

Have our tile/bricks been installed at the practice facility, never received any word?
