Yep the academic standards to get in are becoming tougher and tougher. Plus we are becoming more popular within the realm of state schools. I work for a division of the admissions department and while I don't know the exact numbers I do know we received more applications and had higher admissions criteria than ANY university in the state of Florida.

I really didn't think anything of my son getting accepted until we had some friends that brought this to our attention back then. Frankly, I don't know how in the hell he pulled it off ... He also got accepted to UF for the Spring semester but he was raised right and made the right choice.
