the underlying theme of "confidence" being exuded by both the players and coaches unlike ive ever seen from usf? Not "being cocky" or "swagger" just kind of a feeling that the players are getting it and this team is coming together. Continually seeing comments from players and coaches like "its coming together" "this defense has chance to be special" "its coming easier and everyone is on the same page"..........its like Coach knows this team has the talent and he is trying to get the players to buy into it........i honestly believe this could be the year we have been waiting for, if we can avoid major injuries, never been this excited about an  upcoming season

I'm feeling it, I can see us as a top contender in the chase for the Big East Title.

I just hope BJ is feeling it, if he plays well I like our chances to win big east.

I hope the clemson game was when it really clicked for him and that is the kind of BJ we see...

I think we'll be much better than last year - slightly better on defense and considerably better on offense. But I don't think were quite there yet. We will compete for the Big East title, and have as good of a chance as anyone of winning it. I think we will be really good next year though.

I think the ND game is the only game I wouldn't necessarily expect to win. Looking at the schedule, I feel pretty good about beating all the other teams. Perhaps the next hardest test will be WVU to end the season, but with a first-year coach and with all the momentum I think we'll have in Tampa, I think at this point that our chances are still better to beat them than to lose to them. This is all with the hope that we don't throw a game to a team that we should have beaten, such as at Pitt. This is definitely a year that has all the intangibles that we've not had before; I didn't even feel this confident in 2007 (midseason that was more like "I am amazed we're doing so well, it's incredible to see the team doing this, and I sure hope we keep this up!!).
