Rivals came out with some preseason overview not too long ago and they definitely didn't think too highly of us then.  At least they're consistent, others are all over the map with their predictions.

I think this one (or one with the same prediction) made the rounds earlier.  It really doesn't mean much, at this point.  That said, I'm sure we would have given the prediction more credibility had they projected us in a BCS bowl.   ;)

This came out a few days ago and was discussed.

Not everyone is buying into USF, and if you try to look at all our positives with an outside perspective, I can't fault anyone who thinks we'll field a mediocre team.

Obviously USF fans see the possibility for consistent elevated play at QB, a much improved RB and WR corps, and what should be a staunch defense.  There's really not a lot of concrete evidence that any of that is going to happen.  I think it will, but I can't rip on writers who think it wont.

Obviously we're biased, but also remember the people who write these are writing at a glance.  They don't read every word printed about USF and watch all of the training camp videos, etc. We do, and the things coming from USF re: the football team have all been positive this offseason.

They are also predicting a Miami-Notre Dame rematch this season, except in Orlando rather than El Paso. ::)

That might be a little hard if Miami can't play in the postseason-lol.

Just got my SI College Football preview and they have us at 9-3, 6-1, finishing behind WVU (10-2, 6-1) and Pitt (same record as us).
