Are there any repercussions for him if this all turns out true?

I'm pretty sure he would be ineligible for taking improper benefits.

Yes but does it matter that he signed with UCF instead of UM? Does the ineligibility follow to the second school?

If it does UCF is  ******.... There's actually a picture showing Godfrey with the guy in his suite during his senior year of HS.

I don't think it matters where he ended up signing.

Illegal benefits are illegal benefits because all potential recruits are considered amateur athletes and any improper benefits received are against NCAA regs.

What are the penalties?

here's one article on it, but I think it would just affect his eligibility and he'd have to make repayment of items received to a charity, but I could be wrong.

I could be wrong, but I believe the penalty would be the loss of the "amateur" status as an athlete.
