As players settled into their stretches, some began to holler "18 more days" as if an echo bounced throughout the complex.

In 18 days, the Bulls travel to South Bend to battle the University of Notre Dame. A key to beating the Irish will be stopping its talented group of wide receivers. The Bulls hope to wash out any advantage with its own skilled secondary, a group Love faces often.

"We have some talented cornerbacks," Love said. "Two guys that we trust in that played last year."

Fifth-year senior Quenton Washington started 12 games at the position last season. Washington was fourth in tackles for the Bulls in 2010.

"We are going to go out there and play them (Notre Dame) like anybody else," Washington said. "We are going to prepare to play the receivers. We make plays and do our best."
