There was a small soiree of 9 Bulls fans today in Wesley Chapel.  Swamprat, Ricky the Bull and TBBull717 joined us in greeting the 2011 football season.  Part of the festivities was a bourbon tasting in which only one, ONE, identified correctly the four bourbons poured in a blind taste test.  You know I wouldn't be writing this if I were not that one.  >:D  Woodford, Makers 46, Buffalo Trace and Ridgemont 1792.  No bad pours in the lot.  But only one connoisseur.  Moi.  To paraphrase Shaq, "How's my bourbon taste".

Always good to get together with fellow Bulls fans.

BTW, I want to thank you again. We had a great time. Mrs. S still hasn't gotten the feeling back in her face, though. :D

I'm jealous of you guys!  You got to enjoy 3 of my favorite bourbons in one night!

Great times with some great Bulls fans!  Thanks to Swamprat for some great highlight videos from last season and to the gang for great fellowship!

Just now regaining the feeling in my lips....

If we had a larger place we could invite more people.  It was good fun, good drink, good food.  We've been looking at larger homes in the last week or so and a day like yesterday makes us wish we could do it.  But the extra carrying costs of a bigger place wouldn't allow us to make the road trips we do and contribute the way we do to the Bulls and various charities.

Will try to keep you in mind next time we do something like that.  So which of the four is not on your favorites list?

I like Makers. I tend to prefer the wheated bourbons as opposed to the rye (most bourbons).  I love Woodford.  Buffalo Trace is a bit spicy to me. It was last on my list of those 4, but I was able to identify it because of that spiciness.

Ricky and Mrs. S sure liked the Maker's. My bottle was over half gone. :D
