USF Adds WYKE 104.3 to Football Radio Affiliates

TAMPA - USF Athletics added a brand-new and exciting affiliate to its 2011 football radio lineup with the addition of WYKE-FM 104.3, which broadcasts throughout the Ocala/Gainesville area.

The new addition expands the USF radio affiliate list to 12 radio outlets statewide (available on the right).  The flagship station for USF football broadcasts is 970 WFLA-AM, which has served in that capacity for three seasons.

Jax & WPB would pretty much complete the state.  Just another piece of evidence that the program is coming of age.

Yep, Jacksonville and Pensacola are the big markets left. Not sure if WPB will get covered by the other stations in that area, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt.

Yay I live and work in Gainesville, now I can turn the Bulls games on at work and annoy my Gator loving co-workers  >:D I wore my bulls gear out on the town last weekend and I had a guy say "wow, you have balls to be wearing that at the locals bars". Surprisingly, we had a good conversation about the Bulls and he said he was impressed with the hire of Skip Holtz & that he expects us to be pretty good the next several years.

You sure about that?  You must have a amazing setup to receive that AM in Pensacola.  It doesn't work for me...

Let's not read too much into it. Gainesville is and likely always will be Gator country.

Pensacola and Jacksonville-would be nice to win over those two areas.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
