No one cares what casual fans think. Or even misinformed coaches/assistants who ranked them too high. In the end, if USF takes care of its own business, it goes to a BCS bowl. If UCF goes 12-0 (not happening), their best bet is still a crappy ghetto Liberty Bowl, after they get run over the coals for having a ****** SoS. I'm not worried one bit about them. If they win alot, props to them. We're going down a different path and doing our own thing. In the end, they're still unknown to most of the country.

*UCF would have to have 4-5 back to back 11-12 win seasons to start garnering respect. One or two 10/11 win seasons don't mean squat when your conference is weaksauce, and you can't beat the BCS AQ teams.

Exactly.  Tell them to go ride someone else's coattails.  They've been playing football since '79 and have 3 wins against BCS teams.  What more proof do you need that they eat paint chips in Orlando?

Someone tell me how they got a final ranking of 21 AP and 19 Coaches. Meanwhile we garnered 0 points. I'm NOT saying that the rankings were deserved, but that is proof of the PERCEPTION that they could compete. They were ranked higher than WVU, and UCONN. Stop looking through green and gold glasses.

To quote the biggest loser and most clueless Kanigit poster we ever had on this board .... "smoke and mirrors".

No one is looking through green and gold glasses.

They were high in the Coaches poll because C-USA coaches voted them up to earn more points. WVU and UConn would have beaten them.

We've played 4 games, won each.

Playing them everying 5 or so years is good to remind them.

Then it's their problem, not ours.  We made it clear that after 4 wins, we wanted to upgrade who we played.  Even though those morons don't get that we can't schedule Ohio State, Florida or Boise State every year, and that we have to play the Ball States and the McNeese States every now and then, they shouldn't be choosy about the terms if they're going to accuse us of running away from them.
