I agree. We played better. Maybe having Leather suspended was a blessing in disguise for other players like Dennis. I like our chances now at getting to the C-USA tourny.

Yeah, kind of like my chances of having the sky rain money today.

Hey brother, don't take it to heart.  For every Ying, there's a Yang.  LOL.

Turnovers have been the bone of contention with these last Bulls Basketball teams. It is beginning to wonder if we are not concentrating on fundamentals. What did the team do to prepare for Marquette? This is how they should prepare for every game. That game with Marquette was the best played game I think I have seen USF play. Even though we lost, we played inspired and team basketball.

Things I see should happen:

In practice or even after practice, throw the ball to Jones at least a hundred times by the basket. Have him first catch the **** ball, turn and shoot. The kid has hands of stone. Next have rebounding drills up the ying. Somebody has to teach positioning to these kids. They are far to under the basket, being pushed around, and consequently getting fouls for going over the backs for bounds.

Next another weak spot. Free throws. Have them run 3on 2's, blow the whistle, have 2 players shoot after running, then back to 3 on 2's. Repeat so everyone gets the "winded" free throw attempt. Then shoot after practice.

This may not be all the answers, but it's my offering to help. Things hopefully have to change.

Diarra had hands of stone last season. Looks like the curse has been passed to a new big man!

FT's were not the problem last night. Dennis stepped up and shows us something for the future.Leather has actually hurt us the past few games, teams know that he is our main weapon inside so when the ball goes to him he gets triple team, he gets frustrated and doesnt pass it out so then it becomes easier for teams to play us.

It's AMAZING how many college basketball games come down to free throws................yet, 90% of all college bball players at average at BEST from the FT line.

PUT THE WORK IN BOYS.

They had a week between games, and had time to prepare in-depth for one opponent.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
